Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the Richmond 150th Legacy Draw platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this platform. The materials and services on this platform are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

Eligibility and Account Registration

To participate in the Richmond 150th Legacy Draw, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (parental consent required for participants under 18)
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Not create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes
• Not share your account credentials with others

Ticket Purchase and Payment

When purchasing tickets, you agree that:

• All ticket sales are final and non-refundable
• Ticket prices are Rs. 1,000 for Youth & Community Tickets and Rs. 5,000 for Prestige & Legacy Tickets
• Payment must be made through PayHere, our authorized payment gateway
• You authorize the payment amount before transaction completion
• You are responsible for any payment processing fees charged by your bank or payment method
• Tickets are registered digitally to your account upon successful payment
• You may not resell, transfer, or assign tickets to others without written consent from RCOBA
• Failed or incomplete transactions do not constitute valid ticket purchases

Raffle Draw and Prize Distribution

Regarding the raffle draw and prizes:

• The draw will be conducted on December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM
• Winners will be selected randomly using a cryptographically secure random number generator
• Prize pools are calculated separately for each ticket category. Rs. 1,000 ticket buyers compete for prizes from Rs. 1,000 ticket sales (7% of category total: 1st Prize 4%, 2nd Prize 2%, 3rd Prize 1%). Rs. 5,000 ticket buyers compete for prizes from Rs. 5,000 ticket sales (7% of category total: 1st Prize 4%, 2nd Prize 2%, 3rd Prize 1%). Total of 6 winners (3 per category). You can only win prizes from your ticket category.
• Winners will be notified via email, SMS, and platform notification within 7 days of the draw
• Winners must respond and claim prizes within 30 days of notification
• Valid government-issued identification is required to claim prizes
• Prizes will be paid via bank transfer or check to the verified winner
• RCOBA reserves the right to verify winner eligibility before prize distribution
• Unclaimed prizes within the 30-day period will be forfeited and added to Richmond College development fund
• Winners may be required to participate in publicity activities (photographs, testimonials, etc.)

Sales Competition and Referral Program

For participants in the sales competition:

• Competition is open only to Richmond College students and Old Boys who complete their profile
• Each participant receives a unique referral code after purchasing their first ticket
• Sales are credited when others purchase tickets using your referral code
• Fraudulent activities, fake purchases, or manipulation of the system will result in immediate disqualification
• RCOBA reserves the right to verify all sales and disqualify suspicious activities
• Leaderboard rankings are updated in real-time and are subject to verification
• Recognition and rewards for top sellers are at the sole discretion of RCOBA
• You may not spam, harass, or engage in unethical marketing practices to promote your code

Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation
• Engage in any fraudulent activity, including providing false information or payment details
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or manipulate the platform's security or functionality
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access or interact with the platform
• Attempt to decipher, decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble any software comprising the platform
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or RCOBA staff
• Upload viruses, malware, or any malicious code
• Collect or harvest personal information of other users without consent
• Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the platform

Intellectual Property Rights

All content on this platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, software, and design, is the property of Richmond College Old Boys' Association or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without express written permission from RCOBA.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Important legal disclaimers:

• The platform and all services are provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free service
• We are not responsible for technical failures, including payment processing errors outside our control
• RCOBA, Richmond College, and their affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for ticket purchases
• We are not responsible for losses due to your failure to maintain account security
• Force majeure events (natural disasters, war, pandemics, etc.) may delay or prevent the draw
• We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the draw if circumstances require, with appropriate refunds or alternatives

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Galle, Sri Lanka. Before initiating legal proceedings, parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the new Terms of Service on this page and updating the 'Last Updated' date. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the platform will immediately cease
• Your purchased tickets remain valid for the draw regardless of account termination
• Any pending prizes will still be distributed if you are a winner and meet verification requirements
• We may retain your information as required by law or legitimate business purposes
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect
